A standard consultation is approximately 10-15 minutes. If you require longer consultation (i.e. complicated on multiple problems, minor surgery and medical), Please notify reception when booking your appointment. We understand your time is valuable, and every effort is made to keep to appointment times: however, patient medical needs are unpredictable. Please accept our apologies in advance should you experience an extended waiting period.

New Patients, please arrive 10 –15 minutes before appointment for paper work and details.

Walk-In appointments:

Walk-in patients are welcome and will be seen on the same day (subjected to availability, waiting period may apply).

Each patient that arrives without an appointment will be assessed by reception via the POPGUNS urgency criteria. If the patient is in pain, then the nurse will triage as to the urgency of the situation. If it is not an urgent matter, the reception will offer the next available appointment.

Did not attend – Policy

There is increasing demand for bulk billing appointments. People who do not attend appointments or cancel at short notice deprive other people of medical care.

Therefore we would appreciate it if you are able to let us know in advance if you are unable to make your appointment.

Patients who miss their appointments frequently will be charged a fee that will need to be settled before they can be seen again.

If patients require communication services:

Patients requiring communication assistance (such as AUSLAN or interpreter services) are asked to inform Reception when making the appointment.

Home Visits

Doctors make visits to regular patients of our practice, where it is safe and reasonable in their homes, in nursing homes or hospitals if their patients are acutely ill, immobile or elderly. This is at the Doctors discretion.
